Description: |
Fine bi-color pottery seated male figure, right foot under his raised left knee, left arm resting on his knee. Nicely detailed finger and toe nails, hunchback with relief backbone. Large cream ware head with refined and expressive facial features, puffy cheeks and strong jaw line, slightly puckered mouth. Scattered mineral deposits on the surface. Toes restored on left foot and hand, head reattached with restoration over the breakline. A beautifully sculpted example. |
