Description: Massive silver bar recovered from the Nuestra Senora De Atocha which sank on September 6th, 1622 off the Florida Keys. Several stamped markings and monograms, and various other marks made by various handlers and shippers recording their transaction with the bar. A ley or fineness number of 2380 with 2400 being the purest.
Provenance: Private NYC collection, acquired from Arte Primitivo, auct. 54, lot 128, ex. The Estate of Wallace Katz, NYC. A Certificate of Authenticity from Treasure Salvors, Inc.
