Finely carved black hardstone cylindrical jar standing on four short legs, narrow angular shoulder and a carved rounded lip with a flat rim. Opposing drilled attachment holes under the rim. Filled with its ancient hardened cinnabar contents. Beautiful original high gloss polished surface. Intact, exc. cond. A rare and exceptional example. |
