Description: |
Three different examples including a tripod bowl having a painted red-brown overall interior decoration depicting a semiabstract profile crouching zoomorph having a long snout and tail. Two ancient rim chips and a small area of surface loss on the interior wall, scattered areas of surface erosion on the underside. Together with a Maya bowl polychrome decorated with a band of black triangular elements and a simple stylized upper glyph band. Scattered paint wear, otherwise intact. Finally, bowl having a red-brown painted exterior band of stepped squared spiral elements. Interior decorated with a resist stylized “X” element. Some minor surface wear, otherwise intact. |
