| Description: |
Red-brown molded pottery vessel having a stirrup type spout. Depicting a perched hawk with wings crossed over his back, having incised stripes alternating in white and red-brown, large striped head and strong facial features with a curved beak and large eyes with incised long inverted c-shape brows painted white. Scattered mineral deposits on the surface. Right tail corner reattached with restoration over the break line, and a minor restored hair line on his right wing, otherwise intact, exc. cond. A beautiful, top quality example. |
