Description: First a cast bronze standing disciple, hands held in prayer, wearing a long robe. Depicted with a shaved head, elongated ears and serene facial features. Standing on a lotus base. Overall black surface patina with some blue-green interior surface patina. A few pinhole size casting flaws, otherwise intact. Together with a cast bronze seated noble, legs folded under, shoes placed on the base ledge. Wearing a long fancy drapery garment. Overall black surface patina. Several casting flaws on the lower left corner, some erosion to the head and face.
Provenance: Collection of Swanhild Castle, Brooklyn, NY., acquired 1960s.
