Large hollow pottery standing female figure holding both hands to her chest. Depicted with an elongated head, open mouth with individually applied teeth, large incised eyes and wearing ear spools. Cream ground with red painted geometric facial decoration, poncho and lower leg bands. Scattered surface deposits. Both legs have been reattached, left leg repaired from two original pieces, and a small restored chip under her left eye, otherwise intact. A rare and impressive example. Custom lucite base. |
