| Description: |
Large hollow pottery, classic type seated adolescent depicted with wide hips and splayed legs, hands resting in knees, plump stomach. Very expressive facial features, open mouth showing upper teeth and having pierced ears. Reddish-brown ground with some remaining scattered white pigment. Repaired from approximately twenty original pieces with restoration over the breaklines, which is typical for this type of figure. A rare and beautiful example. |
