Description: |
Solid cast silver standing Saiga antelope depicted with large perked ears and retaining small horn tips. Inset with with lapis, red garnet and turquoise stones on the hips and shoulders. A few remaining traces of the original gilt surface. Scattered areas of blue-green surface patina. Missing tip of tail and horns, otherwise intact, overall exc. cond. A very rare and beautiful example. |
