Description: |
Fine and large standing ball player figure having a fancy feather and noded hairdo. Wearing a heavy belted loincloth. Exceptional refined facial features and long hairdo down back, holding a trumpet to his lips. Some remaining red and white decorative pigment. Repaired from six original pieces with some breaklines slightly visible, piece missing from back of belt, some losses to the headdress. A rare and beautiful example. Old metal base. |
