Description: |
Solid buff-brown pottery seated female figure with legs crossed. Wearing a knee length skirt with a finely segmented border hemline. Arms resting on lap. Elaborate hairdo with three long locks down her back and one over her front left shoulder. Scattered traces of red pigment highlights. Scattered mineral deposits on the surface. Missing one rear hair lock, mismatched right shoulder hairlock, a few repaired breaks and a stable crack in the left side of her skirt. A rare and beautiful example. |
