Description: |
Molded chocolateware pottery maskette depicting an old deity having very gaunt facial features, high cheek bones, heavy browlines, incised wrinkled face, possibly representing a fire or wind god. Perforated eyes and mouth and thick lower lip. Three small perforations around the rim for attachment. Ancient chip on lower lip, otherwise intact. Mounted on an old custom lucite display base. |
