Description: |
Large hollow pottery standing figure, depicted with wide shoulders and wide rounded hips. Expressive facial features, open toothy mouth, central crested hairdo with long tail down back, painted with red pigment. Arms held slightly away from body. Overall remaining white slip surface pigment with some remaining red-orange painted highlights. Left arm and leg reattached with breaklines visible, otherwise intact. An impressive example. Old, damaged custom lucite base. |
