Redware pottery figural vessel depicting a rotund figure holding simple relief hands to her stomach. She proably represents a mother in childbirth. Simple relief facial features, face decorated with a black and white painted stepped net pattern. Two small loop handles at the rim. Scattered mineral deposits on the surface. Intact, exc. cond. A scarce type. |
