Buff-tan pottery stylized clam shell deity, holding both hands on his long wrapped legs. Incised clam shell type hairdo, bird-like facial features with large round applied eyes, applied pendant necklace. Some remaining traces of red pigment highlights and strong mineral deposits on the surface. Missing right forearm and a minor ancient chip on the tip of left leg, otherwise intact. A very rare example. |
