Description: |
Three different solid pottery standing female figures, each holding a small child in her left arm. The two Michoacan types have large angular heads, one has perforated ears and some remaining multicolor decorative pigment. Head and ear reattached with restoration over the break lines. The other Michoacan figure has some loss the the headband, head reattached and restoration to her nose. Finally, a Chinesco female figure holding a child, painted red-orange ground with large painted cream circular elements, striped details, and black painted hair. Surface chip on right buttocks, otherwise intact. All have a custom metal base. |
