Carved greenish-gray stone large face mask having strong relief carved facial features, oval recessed eyes, toothy mouth, heavy brow ridge, large and exaggerated angular nose, rounded cheeks, and narrow tab ears. Drilled perforations at the edges for attachment. Overall lightly encrusted surface patina with some remaining traces of red pigment highlights. Intact, exc. cond. A top quality example and quite scarce in this large size. Custom bronze base. |
