Description: |
Carved creamy-green stone fanged serpent head, depicted with a flat snout with two large round disc type nostrils, wavy flap type upper lip with incised fangs, double lobed head and double eyes. Large round drilled socket in his neck. Overall excellent ancient surface patina with some remaining traces of cinnabar highlights. Intact, exc. cond. A rare and beautiful example. |
