Description: |
Carved blue-green jade celt of tapered form terminating in a point. The opposite side is carved with a two long tapered beveled panels. Front is decorated with an incised linear depiction of what could be a winged insect, having long wing covers and two small drilled eyes. The reverse beveled side has two tiny drilled eyes and a circular mouth type element, and three incised diagonal linear elements on both upper panels. Intact, exc. cond. A beautiful example. |
