Description: |
Carved creamy-green stone serpent head, depicted with a stepped snout, double lobed head and large incised eyes. Large round drilled socket in his neck. Overall excellent ancient surface patina with some remaining traces of cinnabar highlights. Some minor ancient loss under his chin, otherwise intact, exc. cond. Quite rare. |
