| Description: |
Blackware pottery cylinder having slightly outward flaring walls, carved on one side with a seven pointed crenelated form enclosing raised weave type opposing bands. The reverse decorated with tripartite maize elements rising from the base. The matte recessed areas are highlighted with cinnabar. Excellent ancient surface quality with scattered deposits. Repaired from approximately six original pieces with restoration over the break lines. A nice example. |
