| Description: |
Carved light bluish-green schist stone large pectoral. The front is carved with a stylized head with a relief carved mouth and upper furrowed brow, with a biconical drilled eye hole in between, outer relief carved border, probably depicting a long hairdo, having four large biconical drilled attachment holes along the outer border. The reverse side has an incised carved transformational face in the center wearing ear ornaments. Some remaining red-brown pigment highlights in the carving. Excellent overall ancient surface patina with general surface weathering and deposits. Intact. A rare and interesting example. |
