Description: |
Carved creamy, light bluish-gray jadeite stone maskette, depicting a human face in transition. Beautifully carved facial features, wide full nose, parted bow lips and narrow recessed eyes. Biconical drilled suspension holes through the temples. Overall excellent ancient surface patina. A repaired break through the the eyes, with the break line left visible, and a small chip at the end of the break line. A stable open hair line in his left cheek. A beautifully carved example. |
