Description: |
Fine carved mottled greenish-brown stone maskette depicting a human head in transition, with beautifully carved facial features, recessed eyes drilled nostrils and bow shape lips. An incised torch is incised on the center of the reverse. Biconical drilled suspension hole in the top center edge. Overall excellent ancient surface patina. An ancient chip above his left eye, otherwise intact, exc. cond. A very nice example. |
