Salmon color pottery floor tile fragment from the encampment of the Tenth Legion, Fretensis which was located in the ruins of the Temple mount after the Roman destruction of the Temple during the Jewish War. Together with a Roman bronze lion head handle with ring, having an overall encrusted blue-green surface patina. Intact. A well-known type from Israel. |
