Description: |
Votives like this were left at shrines and temples of Hathor. They were offerings to the goddess thanking her for help with some matter involve living love or sexuality. They also were left with prayers to Hathor to help the supplicant with such a matter. They are often mistakenly called amulets, but they are votives and not amulets. These are rare and nice intact examples.
