Description: Group of six different scarabs, including a Canaanite faience scarab, green gone white. “Nefer-Heru-Neter-Ma” (Possible reading ‘like the good god Horus’). Purchased in Jerusalem. Middle Bronze Age, Hyksos period, 1725-1550 B.C., XVI to XVII Dynasty. 5/8”L. A Canaanite faience scarab gone white, spirals. Middle Canaanite, 1950-1550 B.C. Purchased in Jerusalem. 1/2”L. A Canaanite scarab imitating Middle Kingdom linked spirals. Ca. 1700-1550 B.C. (Zadok903/40). Cf: The Scarab by Daphna Ben Tor, page 31 3/4”L. A scarab with linear geometric pattern and lotus flowers. Late New Kingdom to 3rd Intermediate period (12th-10th centuries B.C.). Authenticated by Daphna Ben Tor. 2/3”L. A scarab with the name of Amun-Re. Late New Kingdom to 3rd Intermediate period (12th-10th centuries B.C.). Authenticated by Daphna Ben Tor. 5/8”L. Finally, a scarab, hunt scene, XXI Dynasty, TIP 1069-945 B.C. Purchased in Jerusalem. Authenticated by Daphna Ben Tor. 1/2”L. Some with a few tiny flakes, otherwise intact.
