Description: Group of six different scarabs including a Middle Bronze II B-C (1730-1550 B.C.) scarab, Hyksos period, steatite, mottled yellow glaze, nonsense hieroglyphics. Purchased in Israel. 2/3”L. together with a scarab depicting a Triad of gods, Amun-re flanked by two hawk headed deities representing the sun god, Re-Horakhty, each with a symbol of the two lands above. XIX Dynasty (Zadok903/40). CF: The Scarab by Daphna Ben Tor, page 76. 3/4”L. A scarab of Seti II, inscribed “User-kheper-Re Setep-en-re”. Petrie 19.8.10. Purchased from Time Machine, 2/92. 1/2”L.
