Description: |
Three different pottery examples including an Italo-Corinthian aryballos, ca. 7th century B.C., with a painted red-brown and black band and dot pattern. Scattered surface deposits. Some minor paint loss and two tiny lower rim flakes, otherwise intact. Together with a pilgrim flask, terracotta, painted with red and black concentric circles. LBIIB, ca. 13th century B.C. See Amiran, page 168, plate 51, number 11. Finally, a pottery stirrup vessel, Mycenaean import (to Holy Land). Late Helladic IIIB, 13th century B.C. Repaired from approximately 25+ fragments with some old surface restoration, missing half the rim lip. |
