Description: |
Exceptionally large carved gray-green hardstone fish shape ceremonial or votive axe head, having a flat beveled body, angular “fish head” type blade, and flared “fish tail” lugs at the opposing end. Fine pecked and polished surface patina. Examples of this fine quality and this large are very rare. A beautiful example. |
