Description: |
Crudely carved wood female ancestor standing on integral base with short legs, long torso with arms raised above head and connected, while another set of hands along sides in relief rest on hips. Face carved with relief eyes, straight mouth, and jutting chin above hanging breasts. Red brown patina with thick sacrificial encrustation especialy on arms and back. Repair on integral base, left upper arm restored. Image in book shows the piece before restoration. Old collection number on back of base. Custom base. |
