| Description: |
Tan pottery tapered bulbous bodied vessel with huge flared or funneled rim, and two opposing looped handles. Body is painted with linear and concentric bands in deep brown and red brown, as well as drapery elements, and geometric bands. Overall scattered large areas of surface deposits. Two large original pieces reattached in the rim, and a some loss along the break line, a minor hair line in the rim, and a few minor rim flakes, some scattered minor spots of wear and some retouching to the painted decoration. Two tiny pinholes in the body, otherwise intact. An impressive and beautiful example. |
