| Description: |
Exceptional solid bronze standing warrior figure, holding a spear and a club in his left hand, and a round decorated shield slung on his back. Wearing a decorated long sleeved tunic having a fine horizontal striped pattern. Wearing a helmet with a double beaded border rim with a large serpent head projecting from the front of the helmet. Hairdo composed of shoulder length ringlets, nicely rendered facial features. Overall excellent ancient blue-green surface patina. Ancient loss to both feet and right forearm, otherwise intact. A rare and beautiful example. Lucite block base. (Erroneously listed in catalog as Canaanite). |
