Description: |
Exceptionally large polychrome decorated pottery standing female figure holding both hands to her stomach, having bulbous hips and wearing a tall headdress. Wearing shorts having a black on white painted diamond geometric design. Chest, back and face decorated with a black and white painted geometric “lighting bolt” design. Diamond shape eyes, open toothy mouth and wearing ear spools. Overall scattered mineral deposits on the surface. A 1” surface chip on the back of her right arm, and some paint loss on her back and left hip, otherwise intact. Custom metal base. A very impressive example. |
