Description: |
Matching pair of carved stone spiral appliques depicting semi-abstract coiled serpents, each having a drilled hole behind the heads for suspension and perforated nostrils. Heads depicted in profile with a simple drilled eye, which originally might have contained an inset. Old weathered layered surface patinas. One example has been repaired from two original pieces, the other is intact. Both have custom bronze bases. |
