Description: Solid pottery standing female, D-2, figure depicted with wide hips and short pointed arms. Wearing an incised decorated headdress. Red-brown painted surface with areas of root marks. Chip on right foot, otherwise intact. A nice example. Old custom base with a partial Andre Emmerich Gallery label affixed. Together with a hollow pottery standing female figure having wide bulbous hips. Incised spiral decoration on both legs. Missing most of left arm, shallow rim loss, tiny hole in left hip, minor surface scratches.
Provenance: Ex. Esman Gallery, smaller acquired from Andre Emmerich Gallery, NYC, 1963, #TL-136.
