Description: |
Two similar large chocolateware pottery rollers, both decorated with a deeply carved abstract jaguar claw pattern terminating with a three toed paw, having overall red pigment surface deposits and scattered surface encrustation. The slightly larger example has two very minor rim flakes, the other example has a 1” v-shape piece missing from the lower rim. Rare types. |
