| Description: |
Hollow terracotta seated figure with arms raised, head turned sideways and gazing upwards. Stylized jaguar type down turned open mouth, perforated eyes and raised hair lock in center of forehead. Perforated ears, incised stylized motif decoration on back of elongated head, possibly representing avian talons or jaguar claws. Natural medium brown color with faint traces of a reddish pigment on head. Restored left arm, right hand, right foot and crest on head. Head reattached with restoration over the break lines. A nice example. |
