Two different pottery standing pregnant female figures including a tall example holding both hands above her breasts, elongated head wearing a decorated headdress and long pendant necklace. Beautifully painted decoration in red and black geometric patterns and details. Strong mineral deposits on the surface. Intact, exc. cond. Together with another standing female holding both hands to her stomach of similar design and probably by the same hand, wearing an ankle length skirt. Head reattached with break line visible, otherwise intact. Each has an old custom metal base. Both are beautiful example. Rare to find examples this nice. |
