Large polychrome decorated pottery head vessel depicting a human head with highly stylized features, large round eyes, relief c-shape ears and protruding tongue. Upper band of stylized glyphs and painted bands of various geometric decoration. Areas of root marks and scattered surface deposits. Repaired from approximately eight original pieces with restoration over the break lines, overall exc. cond. An impressive example. |
